Sanders Claims CNE Player of the Week Honor
Emma Sanders picks up first conference honor this season, totaling 51 kills and 34 digs across four-match stretch
BEVERLY, Mass. – After leading the Leopards' offense through a four-match stretch, Emma Sanders of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team earned recognition from the Conference of New England Monday afternoon, being named the CNE Player of the Week for the first time this season. The award is for matches played September 16-22.
In four matches this week, including three at the Stevens Tournament, the reigning conference Player of the Year scorched 51 kills, including a season-high 18 versus Montclair State, at a .258 clip. She chipped in elsewhere with 34 digs, including 13 against William Smith, along with six total blocks.
The Leopards open their conference slate Wednesday at Western New England.
