BEVERLY, Mass. – For the second straight week, Emma Sanders of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team was named the Conference of New England Player of the Week. The award is for matches played September 23 - 29.
Sanders highlighted the Leopards' offense in their conference win over Western New England, recording a match-high 23 kills at a .339 rate. Her 23 finishes matched the program-high in a four-set match, a mark the sophomore set just last season. In addition, the Mount Pleasant, S.C. native claimed her fourth double-double of the season by adding 16 digs alongside two blocks.
Wentworth is 10-5 this season and hops back into conference play with a highly-anticipated bout at Endicott tomorrow night.
