Four Named All-ECAC Northeast

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Four members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team have been named to the ECAC Northeast Division III All-Conference Team, as announced by ECAC Commissioner Rudy Keeling.  Junior forward Skylur Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.) was named First Team All-ECAC Northeast and his brother, sophomore defenseman Shaun Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.), earned second team honors.  Sophomore forward Anthony Principato (Holmdel, N.J.) was an Honorable Mention All-ECAC Northeast selection, while freshman forward Cory Lillie (East Hampton, N.Y.) round out the list of Leopard honorees as he was named to the ECAC Northeast All-Rookie Team.

The 2009 ECAC Northeast Rookie of the Year and 2010 ECAC Northeast Player of the Year, Skylur Jameson is honored for the third straight season after leading the Leopards in scoring with 32 points, coming on 18 goals and 14 assists.  Ten of his 18 goals have come on special teams with seven coming on the power play and one coming when Wentworth was shorthanded.  In conference play he has 13 goals (six on the power play) and seven assists for 20 points.  Jameson has played in 76 career games and ranks sixth in goals scored (55), assists (68) and points.  Jameson is presently in the midst of an eight-game scoring streak in which he has nine goals and six assists for 15 points.

A First Team All-ECAC Northeast selection as a rookie, Shaun Jameson leads the team in defenseman scoring, having tallied five goals and handing out 11 assists for 16 points.  Two of his five goals have come on the power play.  In league-only play, he has 13 points, coming on four goals and nine assists.  Jameson has played in 46 career games in his two seasons, scoring 14 goals and handing out 28 assists for 42 career points.

Despite missing seven games due to injury, Principato is the third leading scorer on the team, tallying 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points.  He has four power play goals and is tied for second on the team with two game-winning goals.  In league-only play he has 18 points, which came on seven markers and 11 helpers.  In 35 career games, Principato has scored 25 goals and assisted on 26 others for 51 points.

Lillie has made a solid impact during his rookie campaign, as he has nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points.  Playing in 23 games, he has two game-winning markers, including the game-winning goal in a 5-4 win over Salve Regina on February 17.  The ECAC Northeast Rookie of the Week on December 6, Lillie has scored 14 of his 19 points in conference games (seven goals, seven assists) and both of his game-winning goals have come within conference play.

At 13-8-4 overall, the Leopards concluded ECAC Northeast play with a 10-3-1 record.  Wentworth will host an opponent to be determined in an ECAC Northeast Semifinal on Wednesday, March 1.
