Jameson Named All-New England by NEHWA

BOSTON, Mass. – For the third consecutive season, Wentworth Institute of Technology hockey player Skylur Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.) has been honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association as a Division II/III All-Star.  Jameson was voted to this all-star team by both members of the media and Division II and III head coaches in New England.

A three-year letterwinner at forward and a captain of this year's team, Jameson played in 25 of Wentworth's 27 games, scoring 20 goals and assisting on 15 others for 35 points, with both his 20 goals and 35 points leading the team.  Half of his goals came by way of special teams, as he tallied eight goals on the power play and two while the Leopards were shorthanded.  Additionally, he led the team with three shorthanded markers.

The 2009 ECAC Northeast Rookie of the Year and 2010 ECAC Northeast Player of the Year, Jameson earned First Team All-ECAC Northeast honors this past season while helping the Leopards to a 14-9-4 record and their third appearance in the ECAC Northeast championship game in the last five seasons.  Wentworth fell to Curry, 2-1, in overtime.

In 78 career games, Jameson has amassed 126 points on 57 goals and 69 assists.  He is tied for fifth on Wentworth's all-time assist list, while his career goal and point totals ranks him sixth.  Jameson is also tied for fourth all-time with seven game-winning goals and four shorthanded goals, and is fifth all-time with 22 power play goals.

Jameson and the rest of the all-stars and award winners will be honored at the annual NEHWA Banquet.  This year's banquet will be held on Tuesday, April 13 at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, Mass. The banquet will start at 6 p.m. All awards and All-Star teams will be presented at the gala. All coaches, student-athletes, family members and friends are encouraged to attend Tuesday's banquet.
