Gorodetsky Picks up Third CCC Player of the Week Award

BOSTON, Mass. – For the third time this season, senior forward Georgy Gorodetsky (Yekaterinburg, Russia) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week. Gorodetsky earns the honor for games played from January 14-19.

In the Leopards' lone game of the week, Gorodetsky recorded a hat trick as Wentworth defeated Western New England, 6-2, on Saturday. His first two goals tied the game at 1-all and 2-all, respectively, and two of his three markers came during a stretch of five unanswered goals as the Leopards erased a 2-1 deficit.

On the season, Gorodetsky leads the team in goals (10) and points (22) while ranking second among his teammates in power-play goals (three) and third in assists (12).

Wentworth (6-8-1, 2-5-1 CCC) is at Curry on Friday night as a part of a two-game CCC weekend series.
