After spending four seasons as a tennis student-athlete and the last three seasons as Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, Caitlyn Briggs ’18 was elevated to the position of head coach in August, 2021.
A native of Lee, Mass., Briggs competed in singles and doubles for the Leopards, playing at No. 1 singles as a sophomore and junior and competing at No. 1 doubles in 42 of the 56 matches in which she competed in throughout her career. During her freshman campaign, she earned Honorable Mention All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honors in doubles play. Her 20 career singles wins tie her for fifth on Wentworth’s all-time list, while she is tied for 13th all-time on the program’s career doubles win list.
During her three seasons as an assistant coach for both programs, she assisted in all areas of on- and off-court coaching and played a big role in the 2021 Leopard men’s squad making its first-ever appearance in the CCC title match. During the 2020 season he served as the acting head coach for both programs during the Leopards' spring break trip to Florida.
