Alonso, Chu Named Leopards of the Week
Sophomore golfer Nico Alonso and senior cross country runner Annabel Chu take home this week's honors
BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore golfer Nico Alonso (Madrid, Spain) and senior Annabel Chu of the women's cross country team have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of October 3-9.
Alonso shot a career-low 77 to finish third at the Mitchell Invitational, helping his team to a third-place finish in their second-to-last event of the fall.
Chu placed 47th at the James Earley Invitational, with a time of 20:31.2 for the 5K race, which was a personal best. This time shaved nearly 45 seconds off her previous personal best, which she established last year on the same course.
