Dufault Earns CCC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior goalie Adam Dufault (Lexington, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Dufault earns the honor for games played from March 20-26.

In a 1-1 week for the Leopards, Dufault posted a .625 save percentage and a 8.81 save percentage. He made 13 saves in Wentworth's 13-9 loss to Lasell and stopped 17 shots in the Leopards' 6-5, overtime win at Salve Regina. In that game, which snapped an eight-game series losing streak to the Seahawks, he made a pair of saves late in regulation to send the game to overtime and came up with a save early in the overtime period which would ultimately lead to a successful clear to set up the game-winning goal.

Dufault has played in all seven of the Leopards' contests this season and is 5-2 with a .591 save percentage and a 8.20 goals against average.

Wentworth (5-2, 1-0 CCC) hosts Nichols on Tuesday night.
