BOSTON, Mass. – Endicott junior Diego Slobotzky's (Mexico City, Mexico) goal with 8:41 remaining in regulation evened the score at a goal apiece and neither team would find the back of the net over the next 28:41 as the Gulls and Wentworth played to a 1-1 tie in Commonwealth Coast Conference action on Sweeney Field.

Playing in their sixth overtime game of the season, the Leopards stand at 4-7-5 overall and 2-4-2 in CCC play while the Gulls are 8-6-3 (3-2-3).

Both teams were just about dead even throughout the entire match. Endicott brought the pressure early on, as junior Kyle Bisceglia (New Boston, N.H.) fired off the first shot of the match 38 seconds in, but the ball sailed wide left. Junior Alberto Benhamu (Caracas, Venezuela) was able to get the first shot on net in the match at 10:33, but Endicott senior goalie Alex George (Billerica, Mass.) was able to make the save. Neither side could place the ball in the back of the net, thus ending the first half scoreless. Edict outshot the Leopards 8-7 in the first.

At the 61:35 mark, junior Max Hilchuk (Wethersfield, Conn.) sent a pass in front to Benhamu standing towards the back right end of the box, who then fired the shot off the lower left post and in past the diving Endicott goalkeeper. Just under 20 minutes later Slobotzky fired a shot just inside the box that was blocked by a Wentworth defender, but he took his own rebound and sent the shot into the back of the net. Both sides played physical up until the 90th minute, but neither team could score the game winner.

An additional 20 minutes of play couldn't determine a winner, but Endicott was close to capturing the match. At 107:27, Slobotzky looked to have a chance at scoring his second and winning the match, but freshman goalkeeper Noah Scanlon (Millington, N.J.) was able to make the save at point-blank range to preserve the match.

Endicott outshot Wentworth 21-18 in the match, with both Scanlon and Jorge making nine saves in net. The Leopards had a 9-6 edge in corner kicks, including three in the second overtime.

Both teams conclude the regular season on Tuesday as Wentworth hosts Nichols and Endicott travels to Eastern Nazarene.
