BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth men's volleyball team dropped to 2-2 in NECVA New England play as the Leopards were defeated by Newbury, 3-0.

Despite hitting a match-high .269 in the opening game, the Leopards were defeated by the Nighthawks, 30-19.  Newbury took the second game by a 30-21 score before closing out the match with a 30-26 win in the third game.

Juniors Derek Portugal (Barrington, R.I.) and Dan Mulvey (Halifax, Mass.) each recorded eight kills in the loss, with Portugal also adding three aces and three blocks.  Junior Lowell Jesmer (Rochester, N.Y.) had seven kills and four blocks, while classmate Marc Larue (Lincoln, R.I.) had 10 digs.
