Fourth Place Finish for Cross Country at the Codfish Bowl

BOSTON, Mass – Senior Alex Robbins (Mansfield, Mass.) placed second to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology cross country team earn a fourth-place finish at the 49th Codfish Bowl Cross Country Meet, which was run in Franklin Park.

Robbins' time of 26:54 was also the fastest time by a collegiate in the event, thus earning the Leopards one point as the Black & Gold's 122 points as a team were 16 behind Westfield State for third place. Stonehill (32) and Merrimack (58) finished first and second, respectively.

Senior Pat Hopkins (Lansdale, Pa.) placed 24th (18 points) with a time of 28:05. Sophomore Tom Caruso (Mahopac, N.Y.) was 34th (28 points) with a time of 28:52. Junior Josh Gangemi (Norton, Mass.) came in 39th (32 points) after crossing the line in a time of 29:11, while freshman Tyler Cosma (Center Moriches, N.Y.) was 55th (43 points) with a time of 29:51.

Freshman Anthony Maida (Peabody, Mass.) finished right behind Cosma with a time of 30:03, junior Nathan Ouellette (Wells, Maine) was 70th (30:45), freshman Wes Brimeyer (Dubuque, Iowa) was 86th (31:57), senior Zach Howey (Sherwood, Ark.) was 89th (32:05), junior Chris Kaberle (Pelham, N.H.) finished 106th (34:40), and freshman Rob Moran (Billerica, Mass.) was 108th (35:21).

Wentworth travels to Lehigh University on Friday for the Paul Short Invitational.
