BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Hunter Oshman (Pennington, N.J.) of men's volleyball and freshman Laci Santos (Medway, Mass.) of track and field have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of January 16-22.
In a five-match week, Oshman averaged 2.45 kills and 1.64 digs per set. His top performance of the week came against Emmanuel on January 17, a 3-1 win where he posted 14 kills. At the SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational on January 20-21, Oshman recorded 13 kills in a five-set loss to Nazareth before being named the All-Tournament team. Wentworth notched a 2-3 record during the week.
Santos competed in the pentathlon at the Tufts Branwen Smith-King Invitational on January 20 and set new program records with five record-breaking figures. The rookie notched new records in the 60M hurdles (9.88), high jump (1.35M), shotput (9.80M), and long jump (4.36M) events, along with a program-high mark in total points at a pentathlon (2,514). Santos rounded out her day finishing sixth in the 800M with a 2:55.30 mark.
