The game was played as a part of the Bates College Tip-Off Tournament.

Wentworth's first points of the game came on the first field goal of the contest, a three pointer from Therriault, which cut the lead to 4-3 with 16:06 remaining. A minute and a half later, Dombrowski hit a jumper in the paint, which gave the Leopards a 5-4 lead.

Wentworth led by as many as five on two occasions, including when senior forward Matt Harte (Troy, N.Y.) hit a jumper with 7:31 left in the stanza to put the Black & Gold ahead, 15-10.

The Bengals used a 6-0 spurt to take a 16-15 lead with 3:53 left, but a Dombrowski trifecta with 3:36 to play put Wentworth back up by one. The three pointer also began a 12-0 run for the Leopards, who led by 11 on a sophomore guard Derek Mayo layup late in the half. The Leopards led, 27-18, at the break.

Leading by 11 with just under 16 minutes remaining in the contest, Wentworth put the game out of reach with a 9-0 run, capped off by a Therriault layup. The Leopards extended their lead to as many as 22 with under a minute left. Over the second 20:00, Wentworth shot 60 percent (15-for-25) from the floor.

Freshman John-Michael Fragnoli (Scotia, N.Y.) added eight points and six rebounds, while sophomore guard James Towner (Carlsbad, Calif.), sophomore forward Davon Daniels (Paterson, N.J.), and freshman forward Bo Leary (Auburn, Maine) each scored six points. The three combined to shoot 9-for-14 and Daniels also grabbed five rebounds.
