  • Suffolk broke the ice at the 14:21 mark as Webb sent a breakout pass to classmate Cole Scott (Media, Pa.) who went in on an odd-man rush with senior Max Rand (Marstons Mills, Mass.), who beat freshman Jack McGovern (Ancaster, Ont.).
  • The Leopards opened the second period with a golden opportunity, however, freshman Travis Marchant's one-timer on the doorstep was saved by Wilcox, keeping the score 1-0. At the 8:27 mark, the Black & Gold evened the scored when freshman Nolan Lowe (Toronto, Ont.) scored from Shankar and sophomore George Weiner (Wayne, N.J.). On a 5x3 power play, Suffolk almost regained the lead but sophomore Phil Decresce (Wood Ridge, N.J.) hit the post. • Wilcox came up with a save on a sophomore Sean Brown (Seabrook, N.H.) bid five minutes into the period after Brown found open ice all alone. Both teams had chances throughout the remainder of the third period, prior to a penalty being called on Wentworth with 39 seconds left in regulation. While shorthanded, Faussett and senior Sam Milnes (Middletown, R.I.) each blocked shot attempts, which helped allow the game to go overtime for the second straight day.
  • Wentworth successfully killed off the penalty, however, a penalty call at 2:19 of the extra session sent the Rams back on the man advantage. At the 2:54 mark, Webb netted the game winner on a one-timer after senior Peter Nugent (Bellingham, Mass.) and junior Samuel Rand (Marstons Mills, Mass.) set him up.
  • McGovern made 22 saves. Wentworth had a 30-23 shot advantage.
