Bouley, Gardner Earn CCC Weekly Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. – Pushing their win streak to four this week with two wins, featuring another overtime triumph, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team had two student-athletes earn weekly recognition from the Commonwealth Coast Conference league office Monday afternoon. Senior Drew Bouley (Gloucester, Mass.) was named CCC Offensive Player of the Week while junior Tom Gardner (West Windsor, N.J.) earned CCC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The awards are for games played April 15-21.

Bouley guided Wentworth to their third overtime win of the season, this time over Nichols, picking up three goals, including the game-winner in the second overtime period, along with two assists. In an 11-8 win over Gordon four days prior, the senior punched home another goal and assist to his stat line.

Gardner grabs his fourth honor of the season after recording 15 saves in each of the Leopards' two wins this week while adding a total of seven ground balls. He's currently ranked second in the league in goals against average (8.41), saves per game (12.88) and save percentage (.602).

The Black & Gold are 12-4 (4-2 CCC) this season, totaling their most-ever wins in a season, and close out the regular season at home versus Endicott Wednesday.
