Kerr Named CCC Player of the Week

BOSTON, Mass – Senior forward Kendra Kerr (Marshfield, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's basketball team has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week for games played from December 9-15.

In a 1-1 week for the Leopards, Kerr averaged 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 5.5steals per game. Kerr recorded a career-high 26 points in a 64-61 loss to Lasell, including becoming the 10th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point milestone, while also hauling down nine rebounds and was strong on the defensive end with six steals. She followed that up with 14 points, five steals, and three assists in a 66-61 win over Maine-Farmington, including going 6-for-6 from the free throw line. The final two free throws sealed the win for the Black & Gold, who snapped a four-game losing streak in the process.

Starting all eight games in which she has played for the 3-5 Leopards, Kerr leads the team in scoring as she is averaging 15.5 points per game to go along with 7.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 4.0 steals per game.
