BOSTON, Mass. – Senior guard Kyle Romich (Groton, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team has earned a spot on the 2015-2016 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honor Court, as recently announced by the NABC.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. To be eligible a student-athlete, who is nominated by his head coach, must meet the following criteria:  academically a junior or senior and a varsity player; cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year; must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution; and be a member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

Romich started all 26 games for the Leopards and averaged 17.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the floor. Scoring 20 or more points on nine occasions, he posted a career high of 32 points in a 75-72 win at Endicott on Feb. 16, grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds in an 83-72 win over Emmanuel on Nov. 14, and had a career-high four steals in a 64-62 loss to Regis on Nov. 14. Romich, who was named to the All-Tournament Team at both the Coaches vs. Cancer Greater Boston Shootout and the Coaches vs. Cancer Greater Boston Shootout, also recorded four double-doubles on the season and his 456 points are the eighth-highest in a single season in program history.

Romich is a Business Management major who earned First Team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honors and was named the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Additionally, he was also named to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Men's Basketball Team; the lone senior in the CCC to earn this honor.

After transferring from Saint Anselm, Romich appeared in 44 contests in his two seasons at Wentworth and for his career averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game and connected on 65 career three pointers.
