SUTTON, N.H. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team competed in its third event of the fall season as the Leopards were at the New England College Invitational on Sunday. This event was played at the par 72, 6,714-yard Country Club of New Hampshire.
The Leopards took home a fourth-place finish with a team score of 341. The host Pilgrims were the winners with a 307, placing three golfers among the top five.
Junior Nico Alonso (Madrid, Spain) was Wentworth's medalist as he finished sixth with a 78. Freshman Ethan Lackner (Brooklyn, Conn.) tied for eighth with an 80.
Freshman Ryan Vincent (Carver, Mass.) tied for 16th, while senior Dan Clapp (Rehoboth, Mass.) rounded out Wentworth's scoring golfers with a 93, finishing 18th.
Freshman Pablo Artero (Aragón, Spain) also competed for the Black & Gold.
Wentworth is next in action on September 20 at the Brett Williamson Invitational in Westfield, Mass.
