Men's Lacrosse Downed by Western New England

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior attacker Patrick White (Milton, MA) and junior attacker Corbett Corrigan Harreys (Essex, CT) each scored four goals as No. 18 Western New England defeated Wentworth 15-2 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's lacrosse game Tuesday.

White also added an assist and four ground balls as the Golden Bears remained unbeaten in the CCC with a 5-0 mark while improving their record to 8-3. The Leopards are now 2-9 and 0-5 in the conference.

Junior midfielder James Reardon (Longmeadow, MA) contributed three goals and two assists while sophomore attacker Justin McKinney (Niskayuna, NY) chipped in with a pair of goals. Sophomore midfielder Sean Lawton (Abington, MA) and junior long stick middie Aaron Harris (Eliot, ME) had the other goals. Harris also had a team high six ground balls.

Senior midfielder Joe Martin (Springfield, MA) took six-of-seven face-offs while sophomore midfielder Jesse DeLucca (East Lyme, CT) was a perfect four-for-four in that category. Freshman goalie Brandon Body (Newtown, CT) made three saves.

Western New England led 5-0 at halftime and 11-0 after three periods. The Golden Bears finished with a 47-10 advantage in shots.

Sophomore midfielders Chris Kipp (Scarborough, ME) and Max Blum (New Fairfield, CT) scored for Wentworth in the fourth quarter. Sophomore attacker Steve Glover (Marston Mills, MA) had an assist.  Junior defender Tyler Forthofer (Glastonbury, CT) picked-up five ground balls.

Sophomore goalie Jeff Bathalon (Maynard, MA) finished with 12 saves.
