SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Ryan Coakley (Flemington, N.J.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week for games played from March 11-17.

Coakley helped the Leopards improve to 3-0 for the first time since the 2007 season as he had eight goals and six assists for 14 points in a 2-0 week. He scored three goals and assisted on three others in a come-from-behind, 10-9 win over UMass Boston. In that game, he scored three goals in a span of 47 seconds in the fourth quarter to help spark the rally. He finished the week with a five-goal, three assist performance at Emerson, in which Wentworth won 21-7.

A transfer from Washington (Md.) College, Coakley leads the Leopards in scoring, tallying nine goals and nine assists for 18 points. Wentworth hosts MIT on Tuesday night.
