BOSTON, Mass. – Senior pitcher Erin Hancock (Holden, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. Hancock earns the award for games played from March 20-26.

In a 2-0 week for Hancock and a 4-0 week for the Black & Gold, the senior pitched 17.2 innings, recording 17 strikeouts and only surrendering 14 hits. Her best day of the week came against Framingham State on March 24, as the Holden, Massachusetts native struck out a season-high nine batters en route to a 6-0 victory.

On the season, Hancock sports a 5-2 record in the circle with a 1.65 ERA, 46 strikeouts, and three saves.

Wentworth opens their conference slate Saturday at home against Roger Williams.
