BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team played to a scoreless 0-0 draw with Salve Regina University Saturday afternoon at Sweeney Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Seahawks had a pair of chances in the early going, but freshman goalkeeper Juliana Heaton (Swansea, Mass.) made a pair of saves to keep the game scoreless.
• Junior forward Madison Wolf (Falmouth, Maine) had three shot attempts for the Leopards in the first half but was unable to convert, leading to a 0-0 score at the half.
• Freshman forward Jenny Montville (Plainville, Mass.) put a shot on goal early in the second half but was turned aside by Salve Regina goalkeeper Georgia Drake.
• Both teams received multiple corner kick opportunities in the latter stages of the second half, and after two late saves by Heaton and a last second shot by Wolf that went just wide, the two teams went to sudden death overtime.
• The Seahawks had two shots on goal during the first overtime but Heaton stopped both chances, and Wolf's overtime shot attempt was turned aside by Drake as the teams went scoreless in the first overtime.
• Heaton made a pair of scrambling saves late in the second overtime to keep Salve Regina off the board, and with neither team able to pick up the winning goal in the 10-minute period, the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

THE SERIES:

• This was the 24^th meeting all-time between the teams. Wentworth now holds a 12-10-2 lead in the series.

• The Leopards resume conference play this Tuesday, Sept. 12, as they are on the road at Curry College for a 7:00 p.m. match.
