Gorodetsky Earns Third Team All-CCC Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Georgy Gorodetsky (Yekaterinburg, Russia) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team has earned a spot on the 2019 Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference team. Gorodetsky was named to the third team after a vote of the league's head coaches, which was announced on Tuesday.

Playing in 23 of Wentworth's 25 games, Gorodetsky has scored 16 goals and assisted on 14 others for 30 points. He leads his teammates in both goals and points while he is second in assists. Additionally, five of his 16 markers have come on the power play, which is second on the team. Gorodetsky scored 12 of his points (six goals, six assists) this season during a six-game scoring streak from January 25-February 16.

With his 30 points, he is the first Leopard skater to score 30 or more points in a season since the 2011-2012 campaign and he is the first Wentworth forward to earn all-conference honors since the 2014-2015 season.

In his two seasons at Wentworth after transferring from Arizona State, Gorodetsky has played in 47 games, scoring 47 points on 25 goals and 22 assists with 11 of his 25 goals coming on the power play.

Wentworth sits at 8-13-4 overall and with a 6-10-1 record in CCC play, the Leopards are the number six seed for the upcoming CCC Tournament. Wentworth heads to third-seeded and 15th-ranked University of New England (17-6-2, 11-5-1) for a first-round contest Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
