BEVERLY, Mass. – After leading the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team to commanding wins over St. Joseph's (Conn.) and conference foe Western New England, senior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) hauled home recognition from the Commonwealth Coast Conference league office Monday afternoon. Gallegos was named CCC Co-Player of the Week for his efforts, with the award being for matches played April 1-7.

In a 7-2 win over the Blue Jays, Gallegos chipped in with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles before solidifying a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles. Three days later versus the Golden Bears, the senior dominated with 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and helped out in an 8-7 (7-1) win at No. 2 doubles.

Wentworth is 6-6 this season, winning four of their last five matches, and host Suffolk on Tuesday night.
