WENHAM, Mass. – Competing in its first 6K race of the season, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country team competed at the Pop Crowell Invitational, which was run on the campus of Gordon College.
Five student-athletes competed for the Leopards, who scored 139 points for a fifth-place finish.
Leading the way for the Black & Gold was junior Erin MacLean (Newton, Mass.), who places 36th (24 points) with a time of 29:32. Freshman Summer Daniels (New Bedford, Mass.) finished in 38th place (25 points) after crossing the line with a time of 29:50. Right behind her was senior Eleni Christopoulos (Knoxville, Tenn.) who recorded a time of 30:47 to finish 40th (27 points).
Senior Dionne Ang (Victoria, Australia) placed 49th (31 points) with a time of 36:10, while junior Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.) was 50th (32 points), crossing the line with a time of 36:17.
Wentworth next competes on Saturday, September 30, at the Keene State Invitational.
