KEENE, N.H. – Paced by junior Erin MacLean's (Newton, Mass.) team-leading 96th-place finish, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country posted a 22nd-place finish in a deep field at the Keene State Invitational.
MacLean, who led the Leopards for their third straight race this season, crossed the line in a time of 22:14.0 to pick up 80 points for the Black & Gold. She was just three seconds off finishing in the top half.
Freshman Summer Daniels (New Bedford, Mass.) finished 140th, with a time of 24:34.6, which earned her 114 points. Sophomore Annie King (Wakefield, Mass.) earned 125 points with her 115th (25:42.2) place finish, followed by senior Dionne Ang (Victoria, Australia), who finished 174th (139 points) with a time of 27:47.4. Junior Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.) was right behind Ang, finishing 175th (140 points) with a time of 27:49.3.
Wentworth competes next at the Suffolk Invitational on October 14.
