In honor of Women's History Month, Wentworth is celebrating some of our notable female student-athletes who have made an impact in their respective sports and in the Wentworth community. Today we highlight junior Sarah Galan of women's lacrosse team.

Why Wentworth?

• I chose Wentworth because it had everything that I was looking for both academically and athletically. The coop program that Wentworth offers ended up being a deciding factor, for there was no other schools that I toured that offered an opportunity that could match it. Additionally, I wanted somewhere that felt like home and when I did my lacrosse recruitment visit the team felt like a family, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Favorite snack?

• Gala apples with chunky peanut butter

Your hype song?

• Undercover Martyn by Two Door Cinema Club

Do you sing in the shower or in the car? Or both?  

• In the car always

What is your favorite spot in Boston or on campus?

• My favorite place in Boston is the harbor walk by the New England Aquarium. My favorite place on campus is Sweeney Field.

Any game day superstitions?

• I have a certain pair of socks that I wear for every away game and a different pair I wear for every home game.

Female Role Model?

• My sister Catherine

Could you share something about yourself you would like people to know?

• I was the rookie of the year in the Commonwealth Coast Conference in 2019.
