SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference today announced the men's lacrosse all-conference teams and major award winners Thursday afternoon. Student-athletes from eight of the nine CCC men's lacrosse teams were named All-CCC honorees.

Western New England took home the majority of the hardware as its student-athletes claimed four of the five major awards and head coach John Klepacki was named the CCC Coach of the Year. Junior attack Justin Bard (Westfield, Mass.) was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while junior Steven Patrie (Lewiston, Maine) claimed Defensive Player of the Year honors. Golden Bears sophomore, Justin Holl (Mount Laurel, N.J.) was named the Short-Stick Specialist of the Year and Jared Ward (Littleton, Mass.) was voted the league's best newcomer, winning the Rookie of the Year. Western New England was also awarded one of the Team Sportsmanship awards with the other going to the University of New England. Roger Williams senior Dan Arket (Poughquag, N.Y.) was named this year's Senior Scholar-Athlete.

Voting for the All-CCC teams and each of the major awards was conducted by the conference's nine men's lacrosse head coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.

Wentworth Institute of Technology placed two student-athletes on the all-conference team as senior Alec Paradis (Pelham, N.H.) was named Second Team All-CCC as a midfielder and classmate Tim Parlato (Needham, Mass.) earned Third Team All-CCC honors as a short stick specialist.

Paradis, who was a third team selection a season ago, has played in 15 of the Leopards' 16 games this season and has set career highs in goals (43), assists (26), and points (69). Each of these statistics rank him among the top five in a single season in program history as he is tied for fourth in points and tied for fifth in both goals and assists. Paradis had a career-high six goals against Whittier on March 7, matched a career high with five assists against Emmanuel on March 26, and in that same game, established a career-best mark of 10 points.

In 63 career contests, Paradis has 108 goals and 72 assists for 180 career points. He ranks second on Wentworth's all-time list for points, goals, game-winning goals (six), and man-up goals (21) while he ranks fourth in assists, fifth in games played, and ninth in ground balls (160).

Parlato earns All-CCC honors for the second time in his career as he was named honorable mention as a freshman. This season he has tallied 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points – all of which are career bests – while scooping up 90 ground balls and causing 25 turnovers. He has posted back to back, career high, three-point games to close out the regular season and his 90 ground balls are the fourth-most in a single season in program history.

Playing in a program record-tying 67 games, Parlato's role has evolved from being the team's primary face-off specialist to a versatile, two-way midfielder who has been solid on defense as well as creating offensive opportunities. The program's all-time leader in ground balls (368) and ground balls per game (5.49), Parlato is second in program history with 83 caused turnovers and fourth in face-off winning percentage (.430).

Wentworth is presently 4-12 overall and finished CCC play with a 2-6 record, which placed the Leopards sixth in the upcoming CCC Tournament. The Black & Gold travel to third-seeded Roger Williams in a first round tournament game on Saturday night at 6:00.
