Women's Outdoor Track & Field Competes at CCC Championship

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Competing for the first time ever as a team at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's outdoor track & field team placed sixth after scoring three points in the two-day meet.

Freshman Ashley Quintal (Portsmouth, R.I.) placed fifth in the javelin to score two points while sophomore Laci Santos (Medway, Mass.) finished sixth, scoring one point, in the shot put. Quintal set a program record in the javelin while Santos set a program mark in the discus and sophomore Kaleigh West (Weymouth, Mass.) set a program record in the hammer.
