BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's and women's basketball teams and head coaches Arlen Galloway and Matt Phippard will team up with the American Cancer Society and participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative next week.

During the Leopards' doubleheader against Endicott on Tuesday, February 17, fans will have an opportunity to take part in fund-raising activities that will benefit the life-saving work of the American Cancer Society and its Coaches vs. Cancer initiative. The women's game starts at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by the men at 7:30 p.m. Both games will take place at Tansey Gymnasium on the Wentworth campus in Boston, Mass.

Fans can support the Leopards' fundraising efforts online, by visiting their Coaches vs. Cancer team page. To join in the effort, click here.

Donations will also be collected on-site to benefit the American Cancer Society. A donation of $1 is strongly encouraged by all fans attending the games.

The Wentworth Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be sponsoring several halftime events at both games. At each halftime two lucky fans will be randomly selected to shoot a three-point shot for the chance to win a $50 gift card to the Wentworth bookstore. One lucky fan will also be randomly selected to win a $25 gift card during halftime of each contest.

We hope you will come out and support your team for this great cause because with everyone's help there will someday be a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
