Cambridge, Mass. - Wentworth men's indoor track and field senior Joe Aronov (Andover, Mass.) placed sixth in the pole vault event with a 4.20m clearance on Sunday at the USATF New England Meet, qualifying for the DIII New England Championships for the second straight season. Aronov was joined by several quality performances in the field, as Dre Colas (Cambridge, Mass.), Dylan Kindberg (Rehoboth, Mass.), Luis Godoy (Newton, Mass.), and Christian Army (Pembroke, N.H.).
Colas set both a new PR and school record in the high jump, clearing 1.88m while placing fifth in the event. Kindberg booked a massive PR in the triple jump, placing seventh overall with a 12.52m mark, while Army rounded out key performances in the jump pit with a 6.01m finish for ninth place in the event.
In the weight throw, Godoy chucked to a 12.12m mark, setting a new career-high over his previous mark of 11.93m.
