HINGHAM, Mass. – Wet conditions couldn't stop the Wentworth Institute of Technology outdoor track & field team from putting up six first place finishes as the Leopards competed against Suffolk, Gordon, and Nichols this weekend.
Picking up first place finishes were sophomore Christian Army (Pembroke, N.H.) in the 110 meter murdles, freshman Jack Chausse (Newport, R.I.) in the one mile run, sophomore Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine) in both the discus and shot put, senior Hunter Wintle (Detroit, Maine) in the triple jump, and freshman Tyler Klockars (Phillipston, Mass.) in the javelin.
All events were conducted on Sunday at Hingham High School, with the exception of the discus throw and hammer throw, both of which were held at Gordon College on Saturday morning.
Wentworth will compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Invitational on Sunday, May 2, in Portsmouth, R.I.
