Black History Month Student-Athlete Spotlight: Dre Colas

In honor of Black History Month, Wentworth is celebrating some of our notable black student-athletes who have made an impact in their respective sports and in the Wentworth community. Today we highlight sophomore Dre Colas of the track & field team.

Do you sing in the shower or in the car? Or both?

  • Both and I sing outside sometimes

Is there a tradition, event, or food you enjoy with family and/or friends to celebrate your heritage?

  • Family makes soup on January 1 to celebrate independence for Haiti

Any game day superstitions?

  • I have to wear my lucky compression shorts and I can only eat a bagel or a protein bar

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be?

  • Past me to make sure he's doing alright and my great grandparents because I don't know anything about them.

Could you share something about yourself you would like people to know?

  • I'm sarcastic and goofy and I need new anime to watch give me suggestions.
