Bruggeman Named NEWISA All-New England

BOSTON, Mass. – Add another honor for Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer student-athlete Diana Bruggeman (Natick, Mass.). The graduate student earned Third Team All-New England Women's Intercollegiate Association honors, as recently announced by the organization.

A First Team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selection and a participant in the NEWISA Senior All-Star Game, Bruggeman started 17 games for the Black and Gold, finding the back of the net a team-best seven times and added an assist for 15 points this season, tying her for the team lead in points. Bruggeman tallied twice in a 3-2 win over Mount Holyoke on September 10 and scored the lone goal in a key, 1-0 CCC victory over Gordon on October 15.

This is the second time in her career she has been honored by NEWISA as she was an All-New England selection in 2021 while playing at Assumption College.

The New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association is an over 35-year old member organization that supports the women's collegiate soccer community in New England at the NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III level. NEWISA's signature program is its annual senior bowl. The organization also recognizes All-New England Teams, highlights coaching staff of the year awards, offers coaching scholarships, and honors New England collegiate soccer alumna for their service efforts.
