Morley Elevated to Head Women's Lacrosse Coach

BOSTON, Mass. – Ciara Morley, who served as the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology last season has been promoted to head coach, effective immediately. Director of Athletics Cheryl Aaron made the announcement.

"We are super excited to have Ciara joining our staff," said Aaron. "It became very clear during the search process that she possess the qualities, skills, and values that align with our mission; and will best serve the women's lacrosse program."

Under former head coach Lindsey Terjanian, who resigned at the end of the summer to take an assistant coaching position at her alma mater, Gordon College, Morley assisted in all areas of the program, including practice planning, game preparation and other administrative duties.

Morley holds a pair of degrees from Bentley University, earning her Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems in 2017 and a Master's degree in Human Factors in Information Design in 2018. A four-year (2014; 2016-18) letterwinner for the Falcons, she scored 82 points, coming on 67 goals and 15 assists, over her 59-game career. A two-time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll Selection, she recorded a career-high 27 points during the 2016 season and matched this output in 2017 while setting a career high for goals (22). She was also involved with the program as a team manager during the 2015 campaign.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to coach such a hardworking and tight knit group of players and am looking forward to helping them achieve their goals on and off the field," said Morley. "Our program has so much potential, and I truly believe we're just scratching the surface."
