Alyson Fisher Joins Athletic Training Staff

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Alyson Fisher as an athletic trainer. The announcement was made by Jackie Germain, head athletic trainer.

"We are excited to have Alyson join our sports medicine team," said Germain. "She brings a unique set of clinical experiences from her undergraduate and graduate education that will translate well at Wentworth."

Fisher came to Wentworth from Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School in Hathorne, Mass., where she served as a graduate athletic training fellow. In her role she was responsible for the prevention, management, rehabilitation, and recovery of athletic injuries amongst high school student-athletes while also providing education to student-athletes, coaches, and parents with regard to proper technique, prevention, management, recovery, and nutritional practices related to student-athletes.

A 2018 graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor's degree in athletic training, Fisher was a two-year letterwinner in women's soccer for the Huskies, including serving as a captain during her senior season. Prior to attending St. Cloud, she was a two-year women's soccer student-athlete at Marian University.

Fisher earned her Master's degree in health and wellness management from Merrimack in 2019.

"I am excited to begin my time at Wentworth," said Fisher. "Everyone has been very welcoming and it has been a pleasure to be able to jump right into pre-season with the fall teams. I look forward to working with such an amazing Athletic Department and getting to know the Wentworth community."
