BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Jack McGovern (Ancaster, Ont.) of ice hockey and junior Dionne Ang (Victoria, Australia) of track and field have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of February 13-19.
In a 2-0 weekend for the Black & Gold, McGovern backstopped the team to the earn a berth in the CCC Tournament, earning key victories over Western New England and Suffolk. The rookie held a .968 save percentage and a 0.97 goals against average across the two games, making 29 saves in an overtime thriller over WNE before stopping 31 in a 2-1 win over Suffolk the following day.
Ang took part in a massive day for the women's side at the Wheaton Pre-Postseason Invitational on February 18, helping set three new program records across her respective events. Her time of 8.67 in the 60M marked a new program high as did her finish in the 200M at 29.51. She also participated in the 4x200M, in which the relay squad set a new program high with their time of 1:58.97.
