BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team wrapped up a stretch of four meets in four weeks as the Leopards competed at the 2022 Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park.
The 8K event featured 186 runners, comprised of NCAA Division III schools, club teams and unattached runners. The Leopards finished 12th with 341 points.
Junior William Carpenter (Salisbury, Vt.) placed 63rd (47 points) with a time of 29:52.2. Sophomore Christian Vallerand (Woburn, Mass.) was 83rd (52 points) after crossing the line with a time of 30:45.4. Sophomore Donovan DiMaria (Dover, N.H.) was 104th with a time of 31:48.5, which scored 67 points, Sophomore Nick Whitcomb (Plymouth, Mass.) collected 82 points after his 161st-place finish (38:16.8), while classmate Robbie McCue (Weymouth, Mass.) was 180th (76 points) with a time of 37:51.9.
The Leopards compete again on Saturday, October 8, at the James Early Invitational at Westfield State.
