Cambray Named CCC Libero of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Lexie Cambray (Bedford, N.H.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference Libero of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Cambray takes home the third weekly honor for the 21-2 Leopards this season, as Leah Rogoz (Woodridge, Ill.) was named Player of the Week on September 10th and September 18th.

Averaging 4.59 digs per set on the season and 5.13 digs per set in conference - a stat that ranks first among CCC stat leaders - Cambray collected 29 digs in a 2-0 week for Wentworth, defensively protecting the Leopards' first-place conference status of a 7-0. Wentworth is on a hot streak of 15 straight wins, with Cambray registering 10 digs or more in 11 of them.

This week, Cambray averaged 4.14 digs per set with back-to-back double-digit dig performances. She steered Wentworth to a 3-1 win over WNE with 19 digs, before she came up with 10 digs in a sweep over Gordon. She also had four assists in addition to her defensive contributions.

Wentworth returns to action tomorrow night in a 7:00 p.m. battle for first place with Endicott inside Tansey Gymnasium. With a victory, the Leopards could outright clinch the Regular Season Title for the first time in program history.
