Rogoz Honored as 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Selection

2018 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team

BOSTON, Mass. – In recognition of her excellence on the court and in the classroom, Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball junior Leah Rogoz (Woodridge, Ill.) has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, as announced Thursday afternoon.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and academics.

Rogoz, who sports a 3.66 GPA while majoring in Architecture, is one of eight selections on the District 1 First Team across Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, and is the lone representative from the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The junior outside hitter led the Leopards to their first CCC Championship, taking the historic season (25-5) into the NCAA Tournament. She finished averaging 3.97 kills per set, which ranks 32 on the national board across Division III, and totaled 353 kills on the season. A versatile player on the court, Rogoz also averaged 3.62 digs per set for 322 on the year, and swung into 42 service aces as well.  Her extraordinary efforts during her junior year campaign landed her a spot on the CCC First Team, her third straight postseason honor from the league.

Rogoz has appeared on the Dean's List twice thus far during her undergraduate tenure, and is also minoring in Construction Management. She is the Events Coordinator for the National Organization of Minority Architects, and is a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students.

As a First-Team Academic All-District® honoree, Rogoz advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. Voting for the Google Cloud Academic All-America® team is scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 20, and will close on Wednesday, November 28 at 9 PM (ET).
