SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After a season-opening split against WPI, two members of the Wentworth baseball team have been honored by The Commonwealth Coast Conference.  Senior firstbaseman Ben Danker (Branford, Conn.) was named the league's player of the week while junior pitcher Nick Colanto (Beverly, Mass.) earned TCCC Rookie of the Week honors.

Danker began the 2011 campaign by batting .833 (5-for-6) in two games, including going 3-for-3 with two doubles and a pair of RBI in an 8-6 win over the Engineers.  He followed that up with a 2-for-3 performance in the nightcap.

Colanto, pitching in his first collegiate game, earned his first win as he pitched three innings in relief in the 8-6 win.  Over that span he allowed one unearned run on three hits, while striking out four batters.
