NEW ORLEANS, L.A. – Ezra Blasko of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team capped his terrific rookie season by being named a U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honoree, as announced by the association Monday afternoon. Blasko is just the fourth-ever Leopard to earn All-Region honors and the first since Alex Robbins in 2017.
Blasko, who ran a personal-best 25:53.88 at the NCAA Regional Championship Meet, was also named Wentworth's first-ever Rookie of the Year earlier today for his stellar finish at the Conference of New England Championship, placing ninth to also be tabbed as an All-CNE honoree. The rookie led the Leopards in five of their six races this season, including a 31st place finish at the NCAA Regional Championship Meet.
