Golf Competes at Hampton Inn Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) tied for 56th place to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team finish 17th at the Hampton Inn Invitational. The two-day event was played at the par 72, 6,764-yard Allendale Country Club.

Trinity College, the top-ranked team in the first set of NCAA Division III Men's Golf Regional Rankings, finished fifth with a two-day total of 606, followed by Babson's 620 and Rhode Island College's 621. Rhode Island College's Austin Cilley was the tournament's medalist, carding a two-day total of 146 (69-77).

Wentworth began the day in 17th place after shooting a 352 during Friday's opening round and shaved seven shots off that total to shoot 345 today. Arsenault's 56th-plae finish was out of 98 golfers as he shot an 86 on Friday and a 79 on Saturday. Junior Brian Bak (South Hadley, Mass.) tied for 79th after shooting a 175 (85-90) over the two days. Senior Enrique Arrieche (Caracas, Venezuela) finished 88th with a two-day total of 180 (93-87), while senior Austin Enroth (Dartmouth, Mass.) tied for 89th with a 181 (88-93). Freshman Sancho Rodriguez (San Roque, Spain) carded a 182 (93-89) in the tournament.

The Leopards conclude their season on Tuesday at the Rich Korzec Invitational.
