Wentworth Reaches 10-Win Plateau in 3-0 Win

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Texas) and juniors Julie Rahilly (Nashua, N.H.) and Nicole Wetherbee (Pembroke, Mass.) each recorded 10 kills to help the Wentworth women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Anna Maria in a non-league match at Tansey Gymnasium. With the win the Leopards improve to 10-10 marking the first time Wentworth has reached double digits in wins since the 2005 campaign.

Wentworth was in control from start to finish, taking the first set 25-12 and the second set, 25-15. In the third set the hosts recorded 14 kills on 17 swings, en route to closing out the match with a 25-10 win.

Sophomore Michelle Hobbs (Northwood, N.H.) had seven kills on the night, while Bruton contributed defensively with four blocks. Freshmen Sam Curran (Quincy, Mass.) and Shannon Ponce (San Jose, Calif.) had 11 digs and 27 assists, respectively.

Anna Maria (3-13) was led by Junior Sandy Acosta (Lawrence, Mass.), who had a team-high five kills. Sophomore Amanda Glennon (Easton, Mass.) had 14 digs while senior Alicia Bonneau (Worcester, Mass.) had five assists.
