Women's Volleyball Defeats Suffolk, 3-1

BOSTON, Mass. – Paced by 19 kills and 13 digs from senior Julie Rahilly (Nashua, N.H.) and 10 kills and nine digs  from junior Michelle Hobbs (Northwood, N.H.) the Wentworth women's volleyball team improved to 1-1 on the young season with a 3-1 win at Suffolk. The win marked the first for rookie head coach Evin Giglio.

Hobbs had four of her team's nine kills in the opening set as the Leopards took a 25-18 decision from the Rams before the hosts evened the match with a 25-21 win in the second set.

Rahilly had six kills on 11 swings – with zero attack errors – in the third set to help Wentworth take a 2-1 lead with a 25-20 win in the third set and helped close out the match in the fourth set with six more kills in a 25-23 win.

Senior Nicole Wetherbee (Pembroke, Mass.) added five kills and 11 digs, while sophomore Jessica Houghton (Billerica, Mass.) led the Leopards on defense with 17 digs.

Wentworth is back in action on Thursday night as the Leopards travel to Pine Manor.
