Sophomore Matthew Favazzo (Lexington, Mass.) led off with a single and went to second when senior A. T. DiPina (Pawtucket, R.I.) singled. Junior Jake Prisco (Bridgewater, Mass.) bunted both over before Lundgren delivered the game-tying hit.
  • A sacrifice fly in the fourth gave the Golden Bears a 4-3 lead and the visitors tacked on four in the fifth to take an 8-3 lead. The Black & Gold pulled within three after five and, after a solo home run increased Western New England's lead to 9-5, Peruzzi plated Sibert with an RBI single in the sixth to make it 9-6.
  • The Golden Bears added a pair in the ninth to make it 11-6.
