WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Sophomore Skylur Jameson (Long Beach, Calif.) and freshman Anthony Principato (Holmdel, N.J.) scored two goals apiece Sunday afternoon as Wentworth Institute of Technology skated to a 6-2 victory over Plymouth State University to complete a weekend non-conference men's ice hockey sweep at Waterville Valley Arena.

The Leopards, ranked #15 in the US College Hockey Online Division III poll, led only 1-0 after one period but rattled off three unanswered goals in the second to pull out to a 4-0 lead and never look back. Wentworth won its third straight contest to improve to 10-1-1 overall, while PSU suffered its fifth straight setback and evened its mark at 6-6-0 on the season.

Principato put the Leopards on the board just two minutes into the game, but that ended up as the only goal of the first period.  Sophomore Forrest Ellis (Pembroke, N.H.) made it 2-0 for Wentworth seven minutes into the middle frame, and Jameson doubled up the score with back-to-back tallies at 9:35 and 11:59.  Jameson leads the team with 12 goals and Principato now has five.

The Panthers broke into the scoring column with two minutes to go in the second period on a power play goal by freshman JC Richardson (Fort Collins, Colo.).

The Leopards got the first goal of the third period on Principato's second of the game, stopping any Panther comeback attempts.  PSU sophomore Jake Curtin (Concord, N.H.) and Wentworth freshman Mike Marrocco (Braintree, Mass.) traded goals midway through the third period for the 6-2 final.

Shots on goal favored Wentworth by a narrow 32-32 count.  Freshman Michael Jarboe (Grosse Point Park, Mich.) improved his record to 3-0-0 with a 30-save effort for the winning team.

Plymouth State looks to get back on the winning track on Thursday (Jan. 14) at home with a Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) game against Worcester State (6:00 p.m.)  Wentworth travels to western New York next weekend (Jan. 15-16) for a pair of games at Hobart College.
