Skylur Jameson Named ECAC Northeast Player of the Year

Cape Cod, Mass. - Commissioner of the ECAC Rudy Keeling announced today the ECAC Northeast Division III All-Conference teams for the 2009-10 season, presented by Combat Sports. The team is voted on by the coaches of the league each year.



Sophomore forward Skylur Jameson (Long Beach, California/Wichita Falls, NAHL) of Wentworth Institute of Technology earned Player of the Year in the ECAC Northeast. Jameson finished the regular season with eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points, helping to lead the Leopards to a first place finish in the regular season. Suffolk goalie Jeff Rose (Collinsville, Conn./Valley, EJHL) was voted Goalie of the Year, compiling a .915 save percentage and 2.55 goals against average in Northeast league play.  Zach Kohn (Hartland, Wis./New England Falcons, EJHL) of Nichols College received Rookie of the Year honors, finishing with 20 points on eight goals and 12 assists.



Chris Glionna was voted Coach of the Year after leading Suffolk to an 8-4-2 conference record. The Rams finished third in the regular season standings.



Joining Jameson and Rose on the All-ECAC Northeast First Team is Johnson & Wales' Craig Houle (Burrillville, R.I./ Portland Pirates, AJHL), who led the league in scoring with 12 goals and 17 assists. Jeff Olitch (Calgary, Alberta/Helena,NAHL) a forward from Wentworth fills out the first team forwards. The defensemen for the All-ECAC Northeast First Team are Curry's Ryan Barlock (Niles, Ill./Springfield Jr. Blues, NAHL) and Wentworth's Shaun Jameson (Long Beach, CA/St. Louis, NAHL), who was first in the league in defensemen scoring with 13 points on  four goals and nine assists.
