SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After finishing first at the Roger Williams Invitational, freshman Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team has been named both the Commonwealth Coast Conference Runner and Rookie of the Week. This marks the second straight week McSolla has earned rookie of the week honors.

McSolla covered the five-kilometer course in 16:54, besting the second-place runner by just over eight seconds.

As a team the Leopards finished second with 33 points, which was 28 points behind UMass Dartmouth's 61 and 40 points ahead of third-place Johnson & Wales.

The Leopards will compete in the UNE Invitational this Saturday.
