CENTERVILLE, Mass. – For the second time this season, freshman Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team has been honored by the ECAC as he was named the Corvias ECAC Men's Cross Country Division III New England Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 28, 2014.
McSolla, who was honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference as its Co-Rookie of the Week, helped the Leopards to a second-place finish at the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College. He covered the eight kilometer course in a time of 28:05, which placed him third in the field of 149 runners.
In his first four collegiate meets, he has a first, third, fourth and 10th place finish to his credit.
Wentworth is at the Tri-State Invitational on Saturday.
